Africa ELTA Female Leadership Mentoring Program
(2025-2026)
Presenting at conferences or professional events is one practice of teacher leadership. Africa ELTA is pleased to offer a new round of the female leadership mentoring program to mentor selected African female classroom teachers to become professional conference presenters. The selected participants receive mentoring offered by Africa ELTA mentors for 3 months. The mentors are males and females. This mentoring aims to equip the participants with the necessary skills to write conference proposals and present at international conferences in addition to online and local professional development events. Upon their successful completion of the training, the successful trainees will be added to the Africa ELTA official list of webinars and conference speakers. By bringing these examples of successful classroom teachers to the forefront and training them on presentation and public speaking skills, Africa ELTA aims to highlight the amazing work done by African female classroom teachers and inspire others who may be intimidated to become professional conference presenters to share their stories.
