Call for Africa ELTA Conference Travel Grant Contributions

Africa ELTA announces a call for contributions for a travel grant offered to African conference presenters to cover some of the travel expenses to attend the Africa ELTA conferences. This grant enables African teachers who are based in Africa and are accepted presenters at the Africa ELTA Annual Conference to attend and present at the conference. 

If you want to support an African English teacher to attend the conference and benefit from this great professional opportunity, you can contribute to this grant by sending an email to express your show of interest to africaelta@gmail.com 

Once we receive the grant amount, Africa ELTA will open the applications for African conference presenters. The number of teachers who will receive the grant depends on the amount of donations. Gender balance and geographical distribution of recipients will be considered. This partial grant covers part of the travel expenses so that we can offer it to as many teachers as possible. 

Acknowledging the donor:

• If you contribute to this grant, Africa ELTA will acknowledge you in the opening and closing ceremonies at the conference. You will also receive an official thank you letter from Africa ELTA. 

Africa ELTA will issue a detailed financial report of the grant distribution to all contributors to ensure transparency. Get in touch today at africaelta@gmail.com
